The Opportunity

  • We are looking for an environmental, civil, or geological engineering student for the Fall term
    (4-month term) as part of our student recruiting program to support field and reporting programs related to environmental investigations and remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with Project Managers and Field Staff, support office and field activities in the successful completion of projects in the Practice Area of Remediation & Risk including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Excess Soil, and Remediation projects.
  • Field activities may include site visits, soil and groundwater sampling, observation of site remediation activities, and/or surveying.
  • Office activities may include report writing (i.e., historical reviews, information research), data tabulation, and/or borehole log preparation.

About You and Your Qualifications

  • You are an intermediate or senior engineering student (environmental, civil, or geological) with an interest in, and previous work-term experience related to environmental site assessments, excess soil, and remediation.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) and the ability to learn new software applications including borehole logging programs (i.e., gINT).
  • Have a valid G Class driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Health, safety, and wellness are critical to you.
  • You are positive, humble, caring, genuine, and trustworthy.
  • You take pride in your work.
  • You are organized, adaptable, and have a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
