The Opportunity

  • We are looking for an Intermediate Hydrogeologist who is passionate about creating positive change and wants to join a company that values its employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrogeology field programs; including monitoring and sampling, well drilling and aquifer testing.
  • Coordinate and manage hydrogeology programs, including developing and tracking budgets, maintaining project schedules and monitoring work scopes as projects progress.
  • Assess hydrogeology data, such as compile, tabulate, and graph potentiometric and water quality data.
  • Independently prepare reports (including submissions to regulatory authorities), work plans, technical memos, and proposals, to be reviewed by senior hydrogeology staff.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, landowners/stakeholders, and regulators.
  • Be a part of a team that develops new business.

About You and Your Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Be eligible for provincial registration as a Professional Geoscientist or Engineer.
  • Experienced in safely leading environmental drilling programs.
  • Knowledge of provincial regulations, legislation, policies, and permit application processes.
  • Can safely operate vehicles and have a valid class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Health, safety, and wellness are critical to you.
  • You are positive, humble, caring, genuine, and trustworthy.
  • This position is eligible for overtime. As such you are flexible, willing to work extended hours and travel away from home.
  • You take pride in your work and have 5 to 10 years of experience.
