The Opportunity

  • We are looking for an environmental field technologist/technician with a minimum of two years of relevant work/field experience that wants to make a difference with a company that cares about you.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting project managers and coordinators in delivering excellence to our valued clients.
  • Soil, Groundwater, Surface Water and Sediment sampling and monitoring using various methods with handheld and automatic instrumentation.
  • Oversight and direction of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Observing and logging boreholes and the installation of monitoring wells.
  • Remediation monitoring and documentation and assisting with remediation activities.
  • Field equipment maintenance and inventory.
  • Reporting to project co-ordinators, managers, and clients.
  • Some report writing and data interpretation and analysis.

About You and Your Qualifications

  • A quick learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Graduate of a recognized environmental technology program from a community college.
  • Understanding of hydrogeological processes and soil structures.
  • Some working knowledge of analytical chemistry.
  • Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
  • Borehole logging.
  • Use of handheld vapour monitors and water level tapes.
  • Basic Surveying Skills.
  • Class G license and reliable and appropriate vehicle.
  • Basic AutoCAD skills would be an asset.
